Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt if using unsalted butter
  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • ½ teaspoon lal mirch (cayenne pepper) or seasoning of your choice
Instructions
  1. Turn on InstantPot to SAUTE mode
  2. Allow the InstantPot to read “HOT”
  3. Add the oil and butter into the pot
  4. Add salt if using unsalted butter and add in seasoning of your choice such as cayenne pepper
  5. Once butter and oil have melted, add in the popcorn kernels
  6. Stir the kernels to coat evenly with the mixture
  7. Spread kernels out over the bottom of the InstantPot
  8. Cover the InstantPot with a glass lid leaving a slight crack for ventilation-not too much or butter will fly out and could burn someone
  9. Once popping slows down to 1 pop per second, turn off the InstantPot
  10. When the popping stops, carefully open the glass lid being careful of stray kernels still popping
  11. Enjoy!
  12. Garnish with additional seasonings if you want such as parmesan, lime salt, white cheddar seasoning, etc
